Prospective Applicants: Organizations/institutions must:
Completed applications must be submitted electronically to Martha Hernandez by September 20,2011 at 5:00p.m. Fifteen hard copies are to be mailed to El Rebozo Festival, 2015 Long Cove Drive, Oxnard, CA 93036 postmarked or delivered electronically by September 20, 2011, 5:00 p.m. No applications will be accepted after the electronic deadline. An itemized budget must be provided with detailed narrative on how funds will be utilized. Funds should supplement not supplant the organization’s general budget and be targeted to direct services. The applicant shall make a presentation of 10-minute or less on the merits of the application to the committee on September 24, 2011. Question/answers may follow. Applicant will be notified by email of the time and location of presentation. Organizations will receive a written notification of selection or non-selection by October 15, 2011. Funds will be appropriated after the 2012 Rebozo Festival. A representative from the organization(s)/institution(s) is/are required to attend the Rebozo Festival on May 20, 2012 to receive the award. In order to make the 2012 Rebozo Festival a success we ask our recipient to assist with ticket sales and securing sponsorships. The 2012 Rebozo Festival Committee requires the selected organization/institution to submit a written report within 90 days of receipt of funds on the progress/outcome of the activity or project and actual expenditures to which funds were used partially or totally. A partial disbursement of funds of 50% will be made initially and the balance of 50% will be dispersed once a follow-up report has been submitted and received. Failure to submit a report will forfeit the balance of funds designated. In the event we do not meet our fundraising target; the amount of funds awarded will be adjusted accordingly.
